Clutch Squealing Noise

Hi Guys
I brought my first ever Husaberg 450 at the begining of the month, All i can say is what an animal Hell of a step up from the old DRZ.
But i have a Squealing noise coming from the clutch, And wanted to ask if this is normal it does not seem to effect the bike but im a bit worried if i get stuck in a bog or something it might go caput on me.
And while im here picking your brains, is there a knack to kick starting the 450, the blokes i go riding with find it quite amusing seeing if they can start it without using the button.

Any help would be great, and im sure i will be picking your brains in the future.
A great bike and site.
mark.

Always a knack to kicking a four stroke. Lots of info on this site, but basically find tdc, and then a little bit more, then push firmly, don't stab, and follow through. Jetted right and it should be 1 or 2 kicks.

All later model clutches squeal generally when a bit hot, and some oils seem to encourage it a bit more than others. Not a problem, its called character.

If you haven't already, check the 'owner's doc' from the link on the left and do a search on the site.

welcome to UHE mark

i think that leaning off the jetting would help. the other two things are: a quality plug, gently moistened air filter (usually wwwwaaaayyyyyy overdone)oh and the tappets. do your tappets.

and like steve said - character. pleaee learn to say phuck yoo when asked these questions!

regards

Hi Guys, Thanks for the help i did see on here that moving the kick start one notch helps so will try that.
I did the tappets after 3 hours as the book says, only covered a total of 10 now, Will get back in the work shop and see if i can kick her.
Thanks for the info about the clutch that has put my mind at rest.
Not sure what you mean about Phuck yoo, But im sure once i get used to this site it will become clear.

Thanks again for your help.

that's usually reserved for venting after getting some advice from taffy
concerning the starting drill off the kicker, steve's advice is the way to go. the hard part on a 450 is figuring out when you're at tdc because the autodecomp masks the compression feeling. with practice, you'll be able to find it easily. also it seems that depending on your jetting quality, different bikes will require a different tecnic on cold starting. for instance, my 650 requires that i use the choke while kicking thru with the manual decomp then shutting off the choke to start, while my 450 wants the choke on to start.
since i started using shell rotella oil again about 3 months ago, i have noticed the squeal being more prevalent. i'm going back to a synthetic.
P.S. you misspelled "canoe"
