There are two marks on my flywheel one on the left and one to the right, what do these line up with when you are at TDC.I cannot find a mark on the flywheel cover, is there a mark somewhere else.

there is a timing mark! it's just inside the inspection window. it's the lower half and the flywheel is the upper half. it's not painted, it's just a lined indent. go into the owner's manual and it is in the pictures there. the only other thing it can be is that someone has fitted an electrolux stator. they look like a radial engine from the 20s when you see them?

if joeusa were to read this he would give you a one-off page in PDF format with a great photo from the 2002 owner's manual.......!

No Taffy, I'll be up front here he has a stator done by me last year but didn't have to much time to ride it, now he's dragged it out of the shed and is having starting problems, weak spark.
He's tested the resistances all check out good along with the output voltage. My only other question was could he borrow another cdi/coil.

Regards

Sparks.
