that is to lock the crank shaft in the event of any engine work , you remove that bolt and use a longer one .

the longer bolt is not gonna get to the crank shaft and damage it?I think because of the easy movement of the bolt ,some oil is leaking off...
what should I do?

no, you install a longer bolt when you want to lock the crank. he's not telling you to install a longer one.

Hello and welcome to the UHE.

That allen screw is used to plug an oil passage drilled into the case during manufacture of the case. The screw should be sealed in the threads to prevent it from coming out. It needs to be leak tight to prevent oil leakage.

Joe
