Hello Huseberg forum.
Having an issue with my oil drain plug. Threads got stripped, will have to repais using a time insert. How ever does any one know if it is possible to drain the oil via the oil screen plug? And just leave the oil plug resting still, dont wont to upset those fragile treads.

yes you can. it will be slower but very possible. you won't be looking at the strainer is the only problem.

will use the oil screen plug from now on as that one is sound. will repair the oil drain plug and just not mess with it.. its fragile( not much material left to tap, very close to edge of engine case )

off topic but ..
I'm very close to closing a deal on a 2011 FE390. Very excited !! besides the fuel pump any other known issue i should be careful with??

No not really, cam chain tensioner was sorted by then. clutch slave was sorted too.
