I Ride: TE 300 FE 570
2009 Husaberg FE570, will KTM 500 cylinder fit?

I have a 2009 Husaberg FE570 which has a bore of 100mm and stroke of 72mm. I have found that a KTM 500EXC has a bore of 95mm (same as Husaberg FE 450) and stroke of 72mm (same as FE570) with the same compression ratio of 11.8:1. My question is: will the KTM cylinder fit on the Husaberg so I can make it a 500? I am trying to make it rev higher and have the power characteristics of the KTM.
Thanks gang

Canít advise on the parts swapping, but Iíll say that my 10í FE450 goes quite flat on the top end. JD Tuner helped to liven up the throttle response and made the bike a bit more playful, but Iím thinking that the 70 degree Husaberg motor was build as more of a low to mid range tractor. Never been near a 570 tho... But every KTM that Iíve ridden seemed to rev freer and have more personality approaching redline than the Berg.

Thanks for the reply, I am hoping I can still get parts for the Berg. Was out for the first ride on it since I owned it and it quit 20 minutes into the ride, has no compression. It was running hot (about 105C 220F) and just up and quit.

I Ride: when I can which isn't often enough. FX450, FE570
KTM run a 19mm wrist pin while the 570 is 20mm.

Sell the 570 and buy the 450.

Run a JD tuner and a map switch in aggressive. Open up the rad shrouds and seat to get these very restricted bikes breath. Straight through muffler. Get 8 thou removed off the barrel base for a comp increase.

Some port work if the head is removed.

There is a 520cc kit for those interested. https://www.ebay.com/itm/420025-KIT-...9/232831257943

In case I ever tear my motor down, what is the measurement @ .008 (?) off the cylinder base? Iím an imperial based mammal living in the states... Also Curious what part of the rpm range this affects. Rule #1 is that I must run pump gas and ours tops out at 92 octane.

And the original poster, Rider_02, continues his saga in this thread. Clogged filter screen with bits of plastic.

No compression situation figured out
