2004 501 valve timing manual

Hi folks, I've bought a 2002 470,fitted with a 2004 501 engine, the camchain had snapped due to a nut falling down the camchain tunnel.. I bought the bike like this, so I've rebuilt it, but im not too sure about the valve timing, can anyone help? Cheers, shug.

I managed to find a 2005 manual. That did the trick... Ta

TDC for the crank is when the bump on the flywheel is around at 9pm. the actual position is

bottom edge of left screw hole
leading edge of bump
centre of crank

when all three are in a line = TDC

the cam should look symetrical and indeed you should see two punched dots on the camwheel and they'll need top be at 9 and 3 o clock.

turn the engine once. fit the rocker cover.
