Is the sprag clutch known for failure on these bikes? If so are they available? If one can be found, are they hard to replace? Thanks for any info.

I thought the old style motors didn't have the same sprag issues...is it easy to kick start? I'd guess more likely a de-comp spring issue

Well sure, but I was under the impression they weren't nearly as much of a problem as on the 01-03 bikes. Again if the cam decomp is working properly these motors spin over easier than most

Husaberg estart issues

When itís being contrary the starter spins and wonít engage. I have a 100 cranking amp battery in it now. Iím thinking maybe a bigger battery. Any suggestions? To ned37; are you still in cottonwood Az? I have two sisters that live there.

Verify the starter gear is still in place, people like to remove them for some crazy reason. Again does it kick start easily? You should just be able to boot it over with no real sequence unlike a big honda. If it is intermittent most likely a one-way clutch issue

sounds like the sprague it's gotta be weak by now.
but, i would suggest you adjust the valves (1\6 turn method) and make sure you have the proper clearance on the exhausts.
even if i did know your sisters, my wife wouldn't let me talk to them.
