Rattling noise when throttle open

Fine at tick over or when letting off
Kind of hard to find culprit as I canít get off and run along side it to find where the noise is coming from
I can rev out of gear and the noise is not present either.
Donít know whether theyíre linked but, it is hard to find neutral, like unable to find at all until cold.
Thanks

If it's only when moving and in gear, I'd check the chain and/or front counter sprocket.
Check the chain slider on the swing arm as well.

Thanks, il have a look
Although, itís a bit more high pitch then a clunking noise which leads me to think itís something small

If it seems more pronounced on the right side of the engine, maybe pull the clutch cover off and make sure nothing is loose in there.
(lay the bike on its side to prevent oil spilling out of the engine when you take the cover off)

I've got a feeling it's more carb related, although it runs like a dream

the carb can make a 'clucking' noise at idle. this is the throttle plate on the backface of the carb slide.

as has been said, the final drive chain will clatter against the inside of the frame. many people don't know the correct way to adjust the chain. i lean my chest on the seat and feel for the chain tension over the seat. at fully compressed you want about 15mm movement in and around the middle.

cheers

I'll adjust that then mines more like 30mm, wasn't sure what it should be.
Although the noise isn't coming from that area and it's not at idle either

I Ride:
Can you ride the bike in gear ... in a high gear....on a road would be good. Listen for the noise which I think you will hear. Pull the clutch all the way in and coast and see if you can hear the noise....I think you won't......next ride under constant throttle and listen for the noise then pull clutch in until it just disengages and see if noise goes away then let clutch out and see if noise comes back.....that is see if you can control the noise on and off with the clutch. If you can then I may know what it is....if you can't then I am on the wrong track. Let us know. PS. Not easily finding nuetral is normal and not related to the problem.
