Cylinder head weld?

Got a small crack to repair on outside of the head, water jacket area. There's nothing special about the head material? Mig? Tig?
Many thanks

TIG with really clean metal surface to weld and a skilled welder should do the job. Hopefully casting material is relatively high quality without significant impurities. Some preheating may be needed/helpful depending on what you are working with for welder skill and equipment. Doesn't sound too bad from your description.
Thanks from canolman
