Haha nice picture Tom!

I had to use a KTM500 today on the ice as yesterday my 570 was loosing cooling fluid internally.... A very good weekend here as well. No wind all lots of sun. Good ice too.

Just tried fitting the stacks I had made for a stack test. I dont think they will do much but if they look cool the bike WILL go faster

The one in the pic is the same length as the metal one that came with the ducati throttle, to see if the different design does anything, plus I have three more different length ones too. Test will be after summer.

Thanks from spanner, HusaPower and tourist

Total length from the stack end to the valve is fairly long at the moment, cannot make it longer while maintaning oem filter solution, but Ive got shorter to try. Having difficulties with rear grip in the dyno so I need to sort that as a first step, and then try the stacks. As a function I can see the gear ratio and as soon as the power drop occurs gear ratio is disturbed aswell, ie to make it a useful test I likely need a cast rim, or a quite true rim.
I have a SM rim but its not fully true, Ill try and make it true first.
Problem isnt rubber grip as if I use sixth gear itll spin out while using forth it doesnt, if its lacking grip it would be the other way around, tried balance it out, no different.
On cast rimmed bikes the dyno grips well (what I map usually, ducati bikes) gear ratio stays put throughout the pull.
Any ideas/thoughts/whoes regarding dynoing SM bikes are welcome!
Thanks from spanner

Did the stack test saturday and...*drumroll*.....nothing happened
So the ducati stack is not restricting, Id agree it shouldnt be, but it was easy enough to test and take the guess work out.

Good news for euro users! Once again took the engine apart and no signs of pitting with the flat piston using euro 95 octane fuel, plain pump gas and zero problems with the higher comp it brings.
Thanks from tourist
