We were wondering how things are. If all is good, would you be making another one at some point?

This is a call for help from my friends in Oz!
I have finally located a couple of LiPo batteries of the same type as I have now. They are from an Australian supplier. However, this supplier says they cannot ship overseas. I'm thinking, if anyone I know in Australia, can let me send these batteries to him, repack and send them to me in Sweden, problem would have been solved!

Can anyone help me out? I'll pay for the effort, of course!

I might be able to help but i'm on the road with work for the next 2 weeks and wouldnt be able to forward them until i get back.
They're considered dangerous goods and have certain packing and shipping restrictions so i'm not sure how quickly you would recieve them.
Thanks from Dr_C and tourist

Thanks for volunteering! We'll see how this unfolds with the supplier!

So shipping batteries can be tricky. In case this helps: It can be important to be able to show that there is some form of electronic circuit that controls and safeguards the battery. This is really the core of the “batteries may be shipped with the device that they are intended to power” rule that is commonly seen. I had shipping trouble but was able to have FedEx ship LiFePO4 batteries by air from the US after showing the shipper and carrier that the battery had a “protection board” in it that manages the cells and acts as a fuse, i.e. the *battery itself* is kind of the “device” they want to exist. It’s a little bit of legalese that may be useful to know, idk.

What are the batteries in question? What’s the capacity, and are they raw cells in a certain physical configuration, or are there onboard electronics?

Thanks for the info, Tourist!
This is a hard cased battery, normally used for RC cars. 4 cells power (14,8VDC) and with a capacity of 5500mAh. Besides +/- leads, the is a universal balance connector. This includes a circuit board but without any components. I have manufactured the battery holders to fit these batteries, and now they are o longer produced. So I was happy to find these three batteries for sale!

I Ride:
https://www.banggood.com/search/battery-5500mah.html

This might not be suitable for Dr C, but may suit others:

https://www.banggood.com/ZOP-Power-1...l?rmmds=search

https://www.banggood.com/ZOP-Power-1...r_warehouse=CN

A couple of 14v battery 5500mAh options with balance leads, one with remote battery monitor

A lot of the RC guys use this site for LiPo, and usually no probs with shipping, if the first link doesn't work, just search battery 5500mAh.
The majority of these types of batterys are now produced solely in China, thnk they even do the LiFePO4...
Thanks from Dr_C and tourist

For that price I might consider 4 pc and adapt the battery boxes...
