'97 FE600E clutch drag?

My second post and somewhat of an update on working the bugs out of my 600E. This Berg might have been sitting for more than two years like I mentioned in my first post and I'm not sure now what year it is. The previous owner said that it was a leftover, so could this be a '96? The VIN is YU7FE6000S0001051.I think I have most of the "bugs" worked out of it and I now have it ready to ride except for one issue. When I first got the bike and got it running the clutch was stuck engaged. I rode it for a while and it finally started to cooperate. Question #1 My clutch is dragging now, what would you guys suggest? I have already adjusted the cable and no change. I can't get it into Neutral with the engine running and it creeps forward with the clutch lever pulled all the way in. Question #2 the suspension is way too light for me. The springs are all "factory" and I am 6'-1" and weigh 230 lbs. Is there any one out there who has some springs for sale? or know the best place to purchase them? Question#3 What must or should be done to the engine to maximize it's durability? I am already planning to do the breather mod. I thank all of you in advance for your help. Volvonut
P.s. Could someone walk me through posting a picture of the bike in question. I haven't been able to figure it out. I assure you that I am not this lame on the trails. :P

Hey Volvo,
What type of oil are you using in your bike, and how old is it? If your bike has been sitting you may have to disassemble the clutch and sand the steel clutch to remove any oil residue. I suggest you use Belray EXS Superbike motor oil SAE 10W-50. Try it first. Run it for a few hours. Get the motor to normal operating temp and see if the drag goes away. Suggest changing to fresh oil every 10 hours of riding time.
If drag doesn't go away you may have to sand steel clutch plates because they have residue on them from the bike sitting too long.

Thanks for the great tips! The oil is brand new and it's some Bel-Ray brand 20w-50 partially synthetic. I think it's called thumper(suggested to me by local bike shop). I was worried that it was due to the oil so I've had 3 different ones in there before the Bel-Ray and they all did it even the 5w-50. I will change the oil to what you suggested and will sand if not the fix. Thanks Volvonut

Volvo,
Check the fork oil level, change to heavier weight oil if necessary. Stiffen the compression and preload before changing springs. Also stiffen rear shock preload to get firmer ride and correct ride heigth.
To maximize engine durability change engine oil frequently, 7 to 10 hrs riding time. Keep air filters clean. Use top grade fuel. Check and adjust valves every 25 to 30 hrs. of riding time. Don't over rev motor (to much).
You should be fine. A 97 Husaberg is one of the Models best and most reliable years of production.

God Luck,
Mackberg
