front wheel spindle

I have Brought some new forks for my bike and have now realised that the forks are the later type with the bigger spindle and my supermoto (ktm/behr) wheel is earlier with the smaller spindle. Is it posible to retrofit the wheel into later forks and what is involved? thank you.

Re: front wheel spindle

In fitting the WP forks to my DR650 designed for a 26mm axle, I machined up some bushes to take the Suzi 17mm axle and wheel. Presumably you can achieve something similar?
