I have very little experience here, so forgive me if I'm out of line, but I have a hard time understanding why so many Bergs are hard to start. I've ended up with a 50 pilot and the adjustment screw is out 4 full turns (Keihin).

Pull the choke, pull the comp release, let it out as soon as the engine spins over, and it starts on the next revolution every time.

Thanks for all of the help guys!

Here's a update...
Dan got me dialed into a stator rewind from "Sparks" and I installed it last week. The bike started better but was still a bit rough around the edges.

Today, I just got back from visiting Dan and he and his mechanic (great guy can't remember his name???) changed out a old battery and adjusted the carb. Well the bike now starts with the kick starter and starts immed. with the electric starter. It is running smooth as silk. Dan has been helpful and very courteous in regard to answering my questions and he did give me a break on the cost of the upgraded battery... I suppose any lesson learned would be the obvious. This is a older Husaberg and you kinda have to cross your fingers and/or be prepared to learn about it and deal with its quirks. But once again, when it is running great, it is a tough bike not to ride.
