Magura clutch

Hello, my first post here, excellent forum BTW.....

Although I already asked Taffy (and did business with in the past with great pleasure) for a quote on a new part, I'm interested if a 10,5 clutch cylinder (the thingie on the handlebar - excuse my english, its not my native) would fit and do the job instead of an original 9,5 cylinder?

The new part is quite expensive and as I have an 10,5 on my KTM I would like to swap them....

Oh, yeah, the original part broke after a fall, it broke where the lever attaches to the cylinder....

Thanks!

M.

I have read of people swapping for different sized cylinders with success.

You don't mention your location or bike model.

I happen to have a stock lever, cylinder and hose for my 570, sitting here not being used. I took it off because I have a Rekluse and LHRB and no room for a clutch lever/cylinder, nor did I really use it once I got the Rekluse so it has maybe 300 miles of use - I got the Rekluse early on.

One thing to note is that if you get a Rekluse, the clutch pull using the stock lever/cyl. is very light, so you could get away with a different (smaller) cylinder - indeed, I think you could get away with a 'finger' lever type setup.

Just a thought.

Sorry, It's an FE 550 2007 and I'm located in Zagreb, Croatia....

You can PM me if you would like to sell your master cylinder....I have no interest in a Recluse clutch, not my thing actually, I like it the good old fashioned way.....

Croatia would probably be a bit of a hassle with customs and all that...

What are your reasons for wanting to swap clutch master cylinders? Note that going from 9.5 to 10.5 will make the clutch lever harder to pull in.
