Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT HI John, Hope you don't mind, I made this a sticky so that others will be able to find you and your kit easily. I have one on my 04 550 and not a drop of oil since!! |
Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT if the sites down might be worth adding the price and what you get. |
Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT If memory serves......... You get a new water pump shaft bearing, and a special seal that takes the place of the original seal for the original bearing. The new bearing is very similar to the one on the 09's, and the seal sits down in the pocket where the original seal that fit on the bearing went. You also get a little protector thingie that slips over the impeller circlip slot so you don't damage the water pump seal when you are removing or installing the side cover. I highly recommend putting in a new water pump seal while you've got things apart as well. Can't recall the price, except that it is money well spent. |

go to http://www.orangehusaberg.com then click on genuine husaberg parts then to Upgraded Orangeberg weephole kit add to cart and checkout, freight to anywhere in the world is added in checkout. The price is $85 Australian plus $15 shipping and can also be purchased direct through Paypal using the account number codeorange@hn.ozemail.com.au please check that your shipping details are up to date with Paypal on the receipt for the sale As DalEO wrote you get a new seal and a bearing in an alloy housing which are installed separately in the case after removing the original assembly and it comes with a protector to place over the shaft to protect the original waterpump seal when you reinstall the cover. It comes with fitting instructions and pictures. When you remove the original bearing you must ensure that the grey seal which is part of the bearing is not stuck in the cover, use a seal pick and remove it before fitting my kit. As im not a Husaberg dealer anymore i cannot supply gaskets and other parts that may be needed, you may need to purchase these from your local dealer, if your in the US you cannot go past the exceptional service with Rick & Tammi Bozarth at Boss give them a call. I work long hours in the mines hee now and somtimes i dont visit the site for weeks so please PM me if you want details and i will reply when i recieve the email. |
Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT I assume the kit stops the coolant leak from the weephole also. Is that correct? Because it's not oil weeping out anymore. It is now mostly coolant. Not a whole lot. But enough to want to get it stopped before it gets worse. Pollo |

I use a inch and a half piece of electrical heat shrink thats just slightly bigger than the shaft and shrink it with a heat gun and cool it down with cold water, im lucky enough to have a spare shaft and i do 50 at a time to send with all my kits, it is reusable so leave it in your toolkit. I have used this method on occasions to protect the seal when removing the big cover by greasing it and pushing into the seal an pulling the cover over. it works sometimes when ive had to remove the cover again just after putting a new seal in. If you have excessive seal wear on the shaft i have found a seal with different dimesions that seals on a different part of the shaft and stops the leak for a while, it about 2mm wider and you push it in further so it clears the back of the water pump impellor. Getting the seal out can be hard with the shaft in place and if you use a screwdriver or seal pick it can damage the housing outer seal surface, try 2 small self tapper screws into the seal and pull with pliers, i usally take the whole cover off. Best of luck i hope this info helps you in some way. ORANGEBERG |
Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT Yes, this info may just end up helplng me someday. But for now I will have the Dealer fix it. Thanks, Thanks Pollo |
Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT OK this just started on my last ride...So if I have a small bit of oil only coming out of the weep hole (after riding really hard) I need the Orange WH kit? Or just the oil seal behind the water impeller? I can't understand why the bearing and clutch cover have to be removed for one seal. :( |
Re: ORANGEBERG WEEPHOLE KIT Quote:
It isn't that bad to pull it apart and once you are done, you have fresh seals for both. Good to go for quite a while. You can do the external seal pretty easy without taking the cover off with the drill two holes and put screws in them and pull method. We have done quite a few of both..... |
