I have dealt with Rick's shop, and I am sure the other dealers on this site are the same, but specifically concerning Bozarth's Off Road Specialties:

KTM would be NUTS not to keep this shop as a dealer. As knowledgable about the brand as any, active riders/racers, a great parts inventory, and a true passion for Husaberg motorcycles. A pleasure to do business with.

The impression I got from the guys at Husaberg NA is that all existing dealers who showed interest in the brand would stay on as dealers providing they met the financial criteria set by GE.

Sounds like my kind of dealer! Always a pleasure getting stuff from you. It will be a sad day should KTM get too full of themselves due to the 2009 450 and try to use it as leverage against the "grass roots dealers" and force them to place orders that are beyond their capabilities. A niche bike needs a niche dealer and KTM should understand this better than anyone.

One thing for sure,in the thirty something years i have been in the motorcycle industry the only thing that stayed the same was that things are always changing.Who knows what KTM have planned for Husaberg and what they are looking for in dealers for the future? In the 25 years i have been a dealer i have seen the same number of dealers in my market come and go.What a volatile industry...I am now the last man standing...speaking of "Last man standing"Coffin and I are heading to texas this weekend for the Last man standing Enduro...any other Berg guys going?

Just wanted to bump this one to the top. I know there have been other threads concerning this subject, but thoughts here by the would be dealers listed earlier in this thread to follow up on their posts would be good.

I have a question......... What are the floor requirements from GE? Both proposed and what will be accepted in real world terms.

Can somebody explain to me what floor requirements are. are the dealers required to have some much floor space devoted to a specific brand/number of bikes? I was under the impression that the dealers bought the bikes from the factory, what does the factory care once they have sold them? I know that there is some marketing strategy in the mix somewhere, but alas I am not a salesman.

Tom, I am thinking about possibly Friday morning, I have to check the work schedule. I would say that Saturday would be good, but we have a big Christmas shindig at our house that evening and I am sure my list of honey-do's will grow exponentially by then. I will give you a call.

Flooring is a line of credit where as you pay interest on the bikes to GE while they are on your floor. When sold they are paid off. I have a past that haunts me and didnt qualify with GE so i'm not a dealer anymore even though we paid for everything as we got them. I have another business and have a few lines of credit with other companies with as much or more than this requirement so go figure. I'll continue on with GasGas of which i started with and do better with anyhow. No worries on my part other than i cant provide for the Husaberg customers i have now which sucks. I dont like to abandon anyone.

Hi, I am a dealer looking into a few exotic brands to carry in my shop..TM, Husqvarna, Husaberg, Lem, to name a few. I'm wondering what the bike comitment is for Husaberg? Hopefully it's not a ridiculus number like KTM wants you to take.

The number I heard 08 was a committment of 6 bikes. With limited production for 09 who knows?
Maybe a current dealer can answer this one.
