Re: 70 Degree Racing Map Switch Update

Can you hit the kill switch and change maps or do you have to completely stop the motor?

No.

The motor must stop spinning for the new map to take once you have changed maps.

Re: 70 Degree Racing Map Switch Update

I have just pulled my 70 degrees racing map switch loom apart and fitted the correct 6.8k ohm and a 15k ohm resistor respectivly ,
I have taken it for a run and basically cant feel the difference,
I was reading this post tonight and have an extension for this question
I may have not been letting the map setting take place???,
Do you need to wait for the headlight to go out ie power to ecu to power down before the new map will take place????

Yes. When you kill the motor the 'ignition' and hence the ECU is still live for a few seconds until the power relay shuts off, signified by the lights (and horn etc.) going off.

Pegscraper... I've got a 2002 model Border Collie that looks exactly like yours. Awesome characters. Previous one lasted 19 years. Hope yours breaks that.

My Collie was 15 last Sept. Won obedience trophy with her many years ago. She's quite slow on her pins now due to arthritits compared to what she was but still a great dog. Don't know how long she's got left but I'm dredding the day it comes.
Not sure what you mean by 'real' Collies. The most common colour is obviously the black and white. There's also Tricolour, Red Merle and Blue Merle. All real Collies and Great dogs
