Thank you for the information. I was hoping the case splitter would not push on the crank. I don't like the idea of "pinching the crank"; but I guess it is only enough force to break the sealant. I expect the roller bearing inner race will just slide through the rollers.

Where else would you push? I'm presuming that the OEM tool also pushes on the crank? There is nothing else to push on?

There is very little force involved when splitting the cases, I just applied a little tension on the puller, then tapped the rear of the cases where the swingarm bolt goes, with a teflon hammer and it just popped apart.
