v. early force ride '09 thread.

briefly spoke to boss, whilst ordering some part, and mentioned that i'd been thinking of starting the discussion for the next force ride.

So here it is.

march '07 feels like it was years ago and i've even been trying to persuade the wife to take a week in the USA, with of course a couple of days riding slotted in somehow.

anyway back to business.

talking with Boss in moab he suggested the next ride be up his part of the world so thats my vote.

Hmmm, fly in, buy '09 from Boss, break it in with style at Force ride, ship back to Texas after the ride is done. Fly home and wait for my new bike to arrive. Now that would be a sweet vacation. More like a pipe dream.

Honestly, the logistics for me would dictate a more central location, but I'm a lazy Yank. I had so much fun and met so many cool people at the last ride that it would kill me to miss out, but I'd probably have to pass on the Pacific NW location.

Makes sense for everyone else though. Great riding and a large contingent of Bergophiles live right around there, or at least on the west coast.

Sign me up.

Now the time of year would be an important issue for some, if not most. March may be the perfect time of the year for Moab, but its usually on the wet side and colder in the North West that time of year.

While this topic is in its early stages, why not have a get together in '08 somewhere. Maybe a pre-ride of sorts in Rick's neck of the woods.

I think John is onto something!!!

I think I might need to do just that, except sending the bike back to CA.

that'd be great, we could all stay w/ json / charles however, the only thing it would be central to is virginia and georgia. too bad the country's just so dam big.

mmhh, next time maybe I can realize to be also part of the ride.
Can anybody foretell if it will also be in march again, or so?

Next summer I will be in the US again, maybe I can repeat it in ´09 as well.
Unfortunately it´ll cost some money. Flight etc.

Taffy, what do you think? Should we fly together? A lot of flights from here have a stop in London.
