Husaberg -no future?

A friend with good conections and insight to KTM ( supplier)
told me that ktm will stop husaberg production in 2009.

KTM will push street bikes (cars and quads) and her own bikes.

The since some years adviced new husaberg with fuel injection, designed nearly the cannondale or the new BMW 450 will never come!

What do you think about this statement?

No husaberg ? Sure ??

If this is honestly the case then it's KTM's loss. Husaberg & its followers will always prevail as it now stands as its own brand outright.

Someone posted a link today ( or yesterday ) about Thomas ( whateverhisnamewas) & his plight from Husqvarna to the creation of Husaberg. I read the entire link & the awsome journey that got us to where we are today with the Husaberg brand. ( Cant link it cause I dont know how )

Husaberg wont disappear as long as ours ar$es point to the ground.

Personally I think that Husaberg has reached the next level & will produce its new bike's of it own accord with its own finances.

Long live the HUsaberg !!

If they let Husaberg go away that would be a shame. I have "met" so many good guys here and a couple of gals too (Elf & Lizardkiller) I have ridden dirt bikes along time raced a little and been on a class winning Baja team. Never have I seen so many Hard Core guys as here, so much knowledge so willing to share info & help each other. Let's face it, it's because the bikes are Hard Core ! Wise men find thier way to quality and performance.

So what if they stop production here in Austria/KTM?
The Husaberg-brand is making money for KTM, so why sould KTM sell their "unwanted(?) daughter"?
I actually think it would a good to outsourced production back to Sweden where all the development takes parts...

Until there are names, titles, and dates attached to any statement there is no authenticity to any statement, it's all just heresay. AKA rumor.

Yes Ozrider I'm doing my bit, like everyone should that believes in something. I probably got sucked in by the rumour & am a little bit biased but that cant be helped. My new toy doesnt get here for another 2 weeks at least so I havent riden a Husaberg for over a month. Got major withdrawal symptoms now.

I guess someone should tell Roland from HSB this as he told me personally that he was flying directly to Austria from the CDN WEC, to make the final inspection of the new 09 bike. There is 2 versions of the bike and they need to pick which one they are going to sell.

The 08 production run is going to be quite small as they are hoping to release the 09 in the spring of 08 from what I am hearing as well.
