I Ride:
98 501 fork oil hight

does anyone out there know what the oil hight should be on a 98 fc501 for a 200lb rider

welcome to the site. i would start w/ 5w fork oil and with the springs removed and forks compressed, refill to 6" from the top. if thats not satisfactory, less oil (>6") will compress easier but bottom easier, and more oil will give the reverse, all other settings remaining the same. keep in mind the fc was designed to be a bit stiffer than the fe.

120 mm will be fine. I use 2.5 w in the compression leg and 5 w in the rebound in my Extremes.
