Twin Pipe

Twin Pipe

I built said exhaust for Pascal Picotte in 1995.
I Thought the image may stimulate your creativity.

Kind Regards,
Dale

PS
I found said picture and a couple others of possible interest while looking for the Husqvarna picture.

Re: Twin Pipe

My swingarm made a long trip to Canada before it returned home as well.
The twin pipe tunning scenario really made me think about discrete tuning of the 5v cylinder head, BTW.
Maybe I'll finish that idea some day.

Re: Twin Pipe

Hi, Dale. I once built my own twin pipe too, but then they closed the ACE hardware store and I lost my supplier. Oh, well, back to the magnetic camshaft.

Look close Corey as their is no Ace and / or OSH pieces to be found.

Said system was hand built using true mandrel formed head pipes, collector and precision cones.

The system was constructed for Pascal Picotte not John Denver.

Whoa, take it easy, fella! I did look closely, BEFORE I placed my quote, and saw no Ace pieces. I don't know what you read into my post, but I'm pretty sure of what I read in yours. Maybe your sense of humor could use a little of that legendary tuning.

Re: Twin Pipe

Dale,

Interesting note on the bikes you built for Pascal:

I was sitting in the airport in Vancouver, BC a few weeks ago. I noted that a guy sitting close to me was thumbing through a Dirt Rider mag as I was flipping pages of a recent RacerX mag. We struck up a conversation about all things dirt bike and ended up talking about Husabergs. He said that his friend owns 3 bergs that were built for Pascal Picotte by "someone" in the states and that they were amazing.

I indicated that that the "someone" was Dale Lineweaver from the San Fran area in California. I assume you did all 3 and maybe more? Anyway, he was a nice guy and had lots of good things to say about the machines you prepped for Pascal. I explained that I had done well in the Pro class in oval track ice racing but that one of my regrets was not being able to race against Picotte in Quebec before I stopped competing.

Cheers

Marc

Unless dark "very dark" I lack a sense of humor.
Love or hate, it is what it is.

Hi Marc,
Those were indeed built and tuned by yours truly.
