2006 FE650 in Dirt Rider

Go down to the local bookstore or grab your copy from the mailbox and flip right to page 105 of the April 06 edition of Dirt Rider.

A reserved, yet gushing article on the 650. By Kramer and Lewis to boot.
It's almost as if they lose themselves and have to regain composure while they write the article. (We like it, and it's NOT a Honda, we're confused...)

The boys can't get over the power (or the pricetag).

From the article...
What's Hot:
"Pretty light, super powerful, and we'll bet both sensations feel better than they read on a scale or a dyno."

What's Not:
Vibration, Fuel tank size, the Durability Boogey-Man and it looks like a yellow and blue KTM.

Otherwise, an unusually glowing endorsement of a non-japanese bike from DR.

Big things a comin' Husabergs way this summer, I think.

Vibration... hmm, I've been riding/racing an XR 650R on and off for years. I think they feel about the same. Welcome to big bore off-road bikes. Fuel tank... HA!

At least they're talking about Husaberg.

I may resubscribe to this magazine, after all...

They are a more open-minded bunch than the other publications, but we're working on it

Also, the inside skinny is that we made the final cut (from fifteen down to seven) in the 24 Hour Torture Test. That's a big deal.

Cheers,

Brett

Jimmy Lewis is about the ONLY dirt rag opinionhead that I give any credibility to.
He tells it like it is in most instances and has gone out of his way, numerous times to say he rates based on what he rides, not who advertises in the magazine.

Refreshing at least.

For those of you who are "paper challenged" and have a hard time reading from a printed page, I present... the PDF! (At least until someone calls me for a copyright violation.)

The April 2006 Dirt Rider Husaberg FE650 article.

"It accelerates harder than any other production motorcycle with only one cylinder."

I like that.
