I had a ktm 125 road reg and was insured (but not on theft) I couldn't claim any money so the next year I was fine with my other bike.

If your insurance will go up by a lot sometimes it's not worth to claim any money.

I got around the points, I had 9 on my italian license driving in the UK and then I change it for a British one (all 9 points gone ) I didn't declare them.

The first year I insured my bike was more then 1k and the year after was down to 250 (now 120)
Strangely my 6 points (2x SP30) positively effected my premium last year when it came down 70. I think they're that common it hardly effects it. or the premium is on some kind of random generator.

That's what I got, had it for 1-2 years and not a single problem, people hide them either in air box, inside the seat, or make it look like it's part of the bike as ecu

uhm..
points should in theory affect the insurance but when I exchange my license I had nothing on it, so I just didn't told them

at the end of day I think as long as you don't make a claim they always try to compete with each other to get more costumer.
