Died while riding

Have had my Berg for a little over three weeks now.
started riding around 1pm and didn't stop for anything but gas till it died on my way home at 5pm. Cruising at 30 Mph

Would not restart; Pushed it home for the second time so far

I have spark, cleaned out the carb, changed the gas, checked my chain and tensioner.

The next morning I managed to get the bike running briefly by pulling the lean start and cracking the throttle while hitting the button. Would continue to run if I was pumping the throttle but would die otherwise.

Seems like the bike rattles a bit more than it used to. ( while it was running)

Any Ideas?

Gonna try a fresh load of gas

Hi javosos,

You must be talking about the 05 because the 03 doesn't have a hot start on the Dellorto right?

Need a bit more info to try to help mate. Does it wind over? Does it seem to have compression?

No disrespect but does it have enough oil in it? Any chance you may have seized it? You say it's making noise now....
I'd be dumping that oil and having a good look at what comes out with it if it's noisy....and measure the quantity.

Coolant? Any chance it's been cooked?

Good luck,

Damo

Broken exhaust valve spring?

Should be able to take the valve inspection caps off and check.

Idle you are correct, had to pull the rockers to see where it broke

My rockers look great at only 6K miles on the bike.

The adjuster for the valve with the broken spring looks good but the threads don't feel to great, are rocker arms replaced when a spring breaks?

Pulling the head now; gonna try to find a set of exhaust valves and springs along with all the gaskets tomorrow.

If that's all I need I'll be very happy
