I Ride:
If they were tightened too much the threads may have been stretched, but they are probably fine.
My 650 went 543 hours on the original rocker arms. edit: original valves also.

I did change the valve seals though.

I changed the cam follower bearings and timing chain a couple times.

I thought by title you were talking about a person dying well riding .I have always told my wife if I die while riding know I went with a smile on my face a lot better than going working.
