I think the KTM impellor design is an improvement.

first of all there's no gap between the hole in the middle and the veins. secondly the curved veins add pushing the coolant along.

so I would re-look at it.

you could always experiment with it? I have a laser temperature sensor and you could try the old and new ones back to back in 30 minutes.
