Damn Taf, you just keep oozing love, don't you. Did you quite smoking today? Dude, please keep in mind that many, if not most, of the riders are not necessarily inclined to do the things that others might do. Most people just got on the thing and ride. Again, I agree with you to a certain extent, but these guys have a valid request, and you are ruthlessly bashing them. If I was plastic man, I would reach out across the mighty Atlantic and give you big ol' hug right now!!! You might want to take a look here, I hope this helps.

I must concur with Taffy on this point. In fact when I was poking around KTM Talk the other day I was thinking the same thing. This site is quite a mess. The home page has so many categories that you must scroll WAY down to get to the end. By the time you have scrolled to the end you forgot why you came in the first place.

I vote for no Supermoto forum. Don't turn this into KTM or Thumpertalk with endless forums.

Where's the love? This is the best damn web page on the internet and it just happens to be about bikes that we all love. I feel that no mater what changes, if any are made, that Schwin will still give us the best site out there.

I think that went quite a few posts back.

Taffy = Prick, 1st class
As far as I'm aware, YOU run this site Json not Taffy..''now if it all gets too technical for you all then we'll have a SM forum''......is that his decision to make?? I'm pretty sure he thinks it is.
If the 'I'm always right, everybody do as I say' fool looked at some of the supermoto results he may find that Husaberg are currently wiping the floor in the british championships with the competition. Not that he would, mind, as sm racing doesnt interest him, in the same way his particular form of racing doesnt interest me...its called choice. If you don't wanna read it then dont open the page.

It amazes me how many of you over the water seem to enjoy being berated by this guy....

Taffy...the type of guy you always find in the kitchen at parties.... and always try to avoid

what makes a SM different anyway? so the 5 of you talk on your own, what have you discovered? 5 x nothing is nothing?

whilst 90% of our experiences are relevant to each other why build a partition?

sometimes i don't know where you lot are coming from and that's dangerous.

Then why have a Husaberg forum?

The topics will still appear on the all up board for latest posts anyway. It's just that it'll all be nice and tidy in its own section.

i've met nearly all these lads but i haven't met you. you're the odd one out here. humour is never dead i'm afraid you just got really personal and blew it!

you made it personal gix-you lost it

anon

the bikes have 90% in common and that's the important bit. everyone from one area can help another area. you don't have to be an SM rider to know how to set the tappets. with the site how it is you can get your questions answered quickly and there is lots of broad debate. it's good stuff.

MOAB only just worked. we had 3 groups on the 2nd and 3rd day of some 6 riders. sometimes less than half the bikes were huseys... in most cases it was the regular UHE members who made it work in the evenings. everyone went to bed straight after the meal on the friday but i went and got bob out of bed, we started a camp fire and schwim found us later.

three of the most regular visitors here. it's bob that ahs sorted this weekend for the boys...

i doubt MOAB would have worked if you had pulled any three UHE husey owners out. and some days that's how this site gets!

take away froggy's incessant starting troubles and the threads have at times been-well-"thread bare!" (pun intended).

i don't think people realise how devoid of any real banter this site gets sometimes. it's schwim's skills that keep it easy to work with and everyone gets their posts answered etc.

regards

what they need to add in these forum software is an option to elect to see certain forums and not others.

This software (PHPBB) does not allow it, nor does KTMTalk's (Invision).

I think that's part of the issue. But I also see a very good Supermoto board on Thumpertalk.com, sponsored by ... Husaberg

I think you could report some of your posts over there and find/start threads that are more specific to Supermoto than to Husaberg.

After all a supermoto wheel can fit a bunch of bikes, and Husaberg share the same hubs as many other makes.

A "What wheel should I get to convert my bike to supermoto?" question would certainly get more answers on TT than here.

sensible answer brett. don't forget that we took the decision to break up the site into the various parts of the bike and not the type of use the bike would get.

do you feel we should have an MX, enduro, trail, SM, RR sections and drop the fuel, suspension, mechanical etc sections?

or do you suggest that we subdivide even more with the SM and presumably others getting sections that cater just to their branch of the sport?

what about the quad guy?

what about dale? the only flattracker i ever met here?

surely the problem isn't that we don't have SM specific sections but that those interested in SM have to file through countless posts looking for something relevant to their sector? there aren't that many are there?

if that's the case, a dedicated section isn't going to improve anything. lack of posts and info is up to us. the lack of a subsection won't have hindered anyone here.

you have either been posting something about SM or you haven't. that it's a small minority of this site is nobodys fault and certainly not a fault of the layout!!!!!!!!!!!!

can i suggest that things still fall into the groups that json has set up BUT THAT WE HAVE A COLOUR CODING SYSTEM WHICH WE CAN CLICK ONTO IN THE CORNER. EN, MX, TR, SM, FT, RR, FX, QD, GEN. so you still have jsons sections and can rumage through them looking for all threads that have SM in the corner of the thread title? maybe even the letters on a coloured background 'spot' like TR on a green dot, MG on a blue dot, that way your eye goes looking for the colour as easily as the letters SM etc.

perhaps we can have a leather questions as well! fancy that when it gets off subject in SM:
will my leathers stretch on the rack while i'm being whipped
my goggles only mist up when being spanked

any good?

regards
