I Ride:
Husaberg FE350, unused

Hello! I have inherited a Husaberg 350fe from a relative. It is completely unused and has been in a garage for 17 years (!). Everything is original and in the same condition as it was purchase in 1997 (except some plastic parts which have been aged and lost a little color).

Is it stupid to start using it now (after changing the oil and brake fluid, of course)? Can it have a high value to collectors? All documentation is avalible to.

Adding some pictures of the bike

Thanks from rens bos

In my opinion, it may someday have value . . . small builder that built bikes that one Championships. It's the right formula. That said, I think that's 20 - 30 years up the line. She sure is a beauty.

Nice bike

Hej!
If you will drive it be careful and gently, it`s very difficult to find engine parts for it. Owned a-91 350 witch was my first Husaberg and a very nice "beginners" bike in the Husaberg line.
If you want an brand new blue petroltank for it i have one
Regards
Jampe

I Ride: Husaberg FE 501 1990 undergoing restauration
Hi Martcarl,
That is a very nice and original Berg, but as Jampe says be careful with it, because it's not only engine parts that are hard to get, plastic especially blue are also hard if not impossible to get.
I am at the moment restoring a FE 501 from 1990 and didn't got any blue plastics, like front and rear fender.
My bike has run just 2400 km and know right from the first owner and also got all the documentation.

Grtz Rens

p.s. if you look under topic pre 2000 you find some pictures of the one i own.

Hi Jampe,
If the Spanish guy let's you down then i am very sorry for you, but maybe you can help with some plastics.
The problem i have with my FE 501 is that the bike was left outside, because the previous owner had no room for the bike in his shed, and therefore all the blue plastic is discolored by the influence of the sun.
The yellow parts are ok,but the blue is lightblue and though i tried to get the color back, it would be nice to have some new or better colored plastic.
The bike is in such a good state that the Nordisk stickers are still on both rims.
If you could send me some photo's of what you have for sale, i would appreciate it.

Thanks Rens

p.s.the VIN number of my bike ends 00000239 so i think of it that it is very early one.

Everytime I hear one of those "no room in the shed" I just know some crappy shovels and a mower displaced a lovely bike. Priorities sure get messed up sometimes.

Hi Goose,
I know what you mean, but the guy in question lives really cramped, at least mechanical he took care of it.
Overhere in our little country space is sometimes a bit of an issue
If i am ready with my bike i will try to post some" then and now" photo's.
At least you can see i take good care of the "old girl"

Grtz Rens
