First Berg Te 300 2012

Hey guys and girls.
My first Berg, went from a Kawa KX 250 03, so this new bike is feeling all bright and shiney.
Had my first hours on it last weekend in the woods, and feel in love. tore up any hill I could find. so tight, and the handeling is awesome. Not boggy and the electric start saved my butt a couple of times.
All around very happy. bought it off a mates mate, he races and it was one of his race back up bikes from 2012 I was told. I know that the suspention was never used, and hes been generous and thown on lots of extra new bits and pieces, just changed the piston, the fame and engine have done 60 hours. So all in all it's tip top and I am very , very happy..

HOWEVER: I feel like a complete idiot trying to figure out how to do basic things. tok me a hour and a phone call to figure that I didn't have to remove the seat to get to the air filter. (not that I could figure out how to remove the seat in the first place)..
Baha..
Now . i want to refuel.. How to I open the cap?
Anyone seen any good youtube "Husaberg for dummies" videos?

Plan on doing my first races on it next season, so Have to get to know it and spend as much time on and under it as possible this winter. Luckily I got a pair of spiked tires with it.

Nice to meet you all, looking forwqrd to learning.

Haha Have you downloaded the user manuals? You can get 'em from http://husaberg.com

I'm not sure if the 2012 two-stroke is the same as my '10 four-stroke, but the gas cap on mine is a press-on-this-and-twist-on-that affair Go towards it with the intention of first squeezing something together and subsequently twisting the thing off. Fate will guide you.

Cheers, I will have to read throught that.
Guess it could be a good thing for a youtube channel. Bergs A - Z
I know bikebandit and transworld have gone together with some 101, but nothing for enduro bikes, and husaberg is not very well repped on youtube.

Again. TY

Good point! The DR-Z is also well represented and it makes a difference. I'll be sure to grab videos of the maintenance I do in the future.

The Berg Te3oo is basically a KTM 300exc with a few refinements. So you should google the KTM as there is far more info.
The petrol cap should open by pushing down on the centre button on the cap (it's a different colour and has the breather cap coming out of it) then turn it's a 1/4 turn (anti clockwise I think).

Your Te 300 is an awesome bike and will serve you well if you do minor maintenance and look after it.
Use decent synthetic 2stroke oil at the right ratio. Can't think of any special maintenance issues with this bike, should be pretty generic stuff (gearbox oil, chain lube, sprockets, chain tension etc) but do make sure you change/clean the airfilter regularly (every ride or 5hrs).

Enjoy

Good point. I will have to look into this.
As you said, I will service small things frequently so i don't end up with a serious problems. I still have my Kawa, a couple of months back i had a crash and had to change the handlebars, so my question is, are the Rethal villopoto twin wall bars better than the factory ones on the Berg?
