Husaberg parts?

So i was just getting ready to seal the deal on a husaberg...but now after reading about the merge with husky...im starting to worry that they are going to discontinue parts for bikes...anybody know if they will? i really like the bike just dont wanna get stuck not being able to fix it, when the time comes if needed.

How old you talking? Anything post 2004 I think you've got a good few years to stock up on genuine parts. Then there are diner bikes that will go cheap cause people can't be stuffed fixing em.

Re: Husaberg parts?

I was looking at two different bikes... a 2004 fe450 with 2700 miles with i really like and a 2010 fe390 that has 3800 miles both are about same price...the 2004 was in mint condition always kept up with maintenance...not sure about the 2010 which is what scares me about the bike...so would i have any issues with getting parts for either of these bikes? Also would either bike be road worthy enough to drive 55-60 mph for 10-20 miles at at time?

I've been told that even with the merger happening, parts for older bikes will be made until 2017 at least.

And then of course they will still be NOS parts kicking around etc..........

apoor looking 2010 390 is still a better bet than a 2004 450. end of.

the LDC 70d engines are just about bulletproof.

Good to know.

I have to ask - What does LDC stand for? I tried searching and didn't figure it out
