Re: what did you do to your berg today ?

(yesterday since I'm sitting at work now)

Finished wrapping header/mid pipe, zip tied off all vent tubes for new 70 degree tank, remounted header guard, cleaned air filter, tried to figure out how to raise/remount the computer so I can see it with my 2" bar risers (would love to see some pics or get some ideas on that one) and basically sat there in the garage and thought about what else I need to do to the bike while it's in parts before I get it all buttoned back up and get my new suspension mounted up...

Re: what did you do to your berg today ?

Yesterday:
* Replaced the fuel injector
* Checked and shimmed the valves

Past week:
* Installed a temperature monitor
* Installed warranty replacement fuel pump assembly
* Went back to a stock height seat - Guts medium (in place of Guts tall)
* Removed KTM in-line filter and reinstalled the CanAm filter

Next week:
* Replace low fuel sensor and hope it fixes my low fuel light
* Put it all back together and hope it works

BlueDevil:
I raised my speedo with two small angle brackets. I bent them in a zig-zag so it moves the speedo forward about 1/2" and up about 1". My bars are raised about 30mm, so this worked out well. It also moved the wiring bundle further away from the Scotts steering stabilzer bolt.

Re: what did you do to your berg today ?

two days ago:
warmed it up, left some posi marks in my lawn, beat the crap out of it for 15 minutes, drove up a big hill and then down a big hill then parked it

yesterday:
bought oil filter
beat the crap out it, 40 road miles, drove through a field,a short rock ditch and some real tall weeds (new shortcut)
tweaked my exhaust so the tire completely clears my new muffler (touched enough to leave a mark like a shoe in a hallway)

today:
looked at it
thought about beating the crap out of it and changing the oil
looked at it some more

tomorrow:
change the oil and filter
beat the crap out of it again, might even dump it once or twice, roost a guy riding a honda 400ex qaud for a couple hours (i told him to get a windsheild)
change the oil again

i am seeing a pattern here....

What did I do to my Husaberg today?

I insulted it.
It had it coming, too.

DeeG - Do you have a pic of the angle brackets you used? What I lack in imagination I make up for with tenacity.

Here is a top view of the speedo offset bracket. I haven't been able to get a decent side view.

Ah, ok, so you moved the whole light bracket then? I will tinker with that today and see what I can get away with...I can read the speedo if I lean forward but one of these days...

Thanks for the pic!
