Right now i have a 2002 fe400e in the shop getting the bugs worked out for this season.

I find myself spending entirely to much time looking at newer bikes while i can't ride.

ever since i saw the video of the husaberg two stroke (although i live in the US) the idea peaked my interest.

Lighter bikes with good bottom end but snappy and playful it sounds awesome. less expensive engine parts sounds nice.

has anyone come off of the husaberg or own an enduro two stroke? what was your experience like?

I cant get a new husaberg two stroke so been looking at gasgas, ktm, or converting a yz250.

If i get a two stroke i would keep the berg. if i bought a new berg bye bye 02 :(

anyone going through this cycle of thoughts out there?

I personally have a case of MBS (multiple bike syndrome). I love to ride both my '05 FE550 and my '06 200XCW. Each bike has it's strong points - the 200 is a blast in the woods and on wide open desert trails (but not so much fun trying to climb big sand dunes!) and the light weight and flickability makes you feel almost invincible whereas the 550 gives you a great rush every time you open the throttle and fairly leaps up big steep hills and sand dunes almost effortlessly but definitely wears you out faster. I don't think I could decide which bike I like the most but even so, find myself lusting after one of the new 300 2-strokes w/electric start (like this afternoon when in the local KTM-Husaberg dealer). In my opinion, a man can never have too many bikes!

My advice - keep the 'Berg (I sometimes wish I still had my '96 FE501 and '02 FE650 and the FE400 is an awfully nice bike) and get a 2-stroke, put a Recluse clutch in it, and go ride. But, then again, a new FE570 would sure be nice....

Enduro 2 strokes kick ass, just look at all the top europe riders, there mostly on them, i personally love mine, but ive never owned a 4 banger always 2 strokes, and i wouldnt have it any other way, since you cant get the husaberg 2 stroke get the next best thing and go the KTM 300 almost the same bike. ill show you mine.

Its strange the USA didnt get them, you have the biggest market for bikes in the world, i just wish we only had to pay what you guys do, this bike has set me back around $15500- $16000 so far.

Glad to see others out there with the same level of motorcycle obsession.

ya i just can't stop thinking about getting a two stroke.

in a KTM I think the 200 would be the ticket since its so different than the husaberg 400.

If i were to get the 300 gasgas or KTM i dunno if i would ride the husaberg anymore.

the 300's are the best selling KTM's here in the northwest not sure why Husaberg isn't sending any over.

I think the new GasGas 2T just have it nailed. awesome looking bike with some innovative ideas.

so many good choices, what to do. Hurry up weather so I can go ride and forget about this stuff.
