Re: so who is our first 2T member?

funnily enough I do think it suits Husaberg!

I reckon there isn't a delaer in the country now who can't sponsor/sell a winning enduro bike to a customer.

I was told yesterday by a main dealer that he's had a lot of ORDERS for the 2-stroke and that they are going to buy them for two reasons:

firstly, there are those that are fed up of the weight of the 4T and they aren't what they promised they'd be (and they are right!)

secondly, there are those that will not ride orange full stop. they know they make a good bike, they know it's reliable ands well made but they will not buy orange.

I also suggest that there is a third group that will buy these 2Ts: they are the people that know that they are REALLY buying a bullet-proof bike with parts available etc BUT they bullshit their way fraudulently into an "enthusiasts club" and they are "individuals"and a "rare breed". mucho kudos over the next few years as Husaberg goes eventually mainstream.

A CLEVER MARKETING MOVE BY ktm IN THAT THE DEALERS NOW HAVE A full range of machines and also, BTW, even selling a 2T makes Husaberg still a little different.

for Ducati read: V-twin
for Husaberg read LDC and 2T.

very clever.

I see a bright future for Husaberg as people clamber for individuality and to join a 'unique club' etc.

AND WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT THIS WEB SITE WILL PLAY A MAJOR PART IN THIS.

the last thing is price and costs
2Ts are more fun for sure
cheaper to maintain
cheaper to repair
better in the woods
easier to ride most of the time
they are over a grand cheaper to buy and as a competitive machine that barely needs development will hold a higher residual value.

emmisions?
try the fact that I was stood with 9-times ex-british sidecarX champion Chris Etheridge a Month ago when a rider asked him: "is 70 to 1 mix OK with you?". Chris nearly keeled over....."in my day (barely 9 years ago) that was 24 to 1", "well, we run 70 to 1 now Chris".

all in all, I think we need to "smell what you've been shovelling" and the smell is 2-stroke! phuq cali-forn-i-a anyway!

Taffy

70 to 1 ?
In my YZ144 2smoker I run 40 to 1.
is 70 to 1 for the lower rev, bigger bore 2strokes?
