Re: Average age of Berg owners?

Goodness me, thort this mite have been a touchy subject but there seems to be a bit of input here.
Acctually now I think of it, my nephew in ozzie borrowed his dads fs650 (when dad was out) and it ceased to function whilst he was abusing it (he turned it upside down and flooded frame with oil) didn't run rite when he put it back.... now he owns the Berg.
I think Tombro turns 20 this year.
I have not let many people ride my bike (they mite realise its the bike and not the rider when i go flying by) as I dont have anymore granmas left to leave me any more inheratance.
Any owners younger than 20?

This is the location of the the next Central South Island Ride, your all invited..

Good to see everyone dropping their forum pants, so to speak, and getting their ages out….I got a big one… 45….would dig to meet ya all and do a force ride with you all but it’ll never happen unless I go to AUS.I was a local surfer from Raglan (age15-35) who was brought up on 8-10” at indicators before breakfast plus a good rock bounce off the bottom. When I wasn’t doing that it was enduro and trials. Then mountain bike riding. Came south for big hills and skiing. I have so far broken numerous bones, but always keep riding, heard about Husaberg, but it was an enigma. Bought the 2007 450 straight out of the crate on the advice of local Berg ex-motox guru. He said” you’ll be right Ton just go every where one wheel with the berg.” He was dead on the button. The bike blew me away, sat by the swing arm looking at the braided lines, build quality/design!!!…you get strangely drawn to this product….maybe they put something in the plastic….don’t have any up for other outdoor pursuits much anymore. Goneberger. Bet I am not the only one who’s wife is jealous of yellow/blue plastic ?

Husapye, i've not been down to that funny little island of yours (mainland indeed!) but I could do with an excuse to check it out on one wheel.
When you thinking of running ya ride? Do you start ForceNZ with this? I believe there are quite a few Berglers down there.
I would like to get a few Berglers together for a roost around the far north one day. We got some groovy gravel up here. There is a pro quility MX track 500mtrs down the road from home owned by an enduro nut (rides an orange but he's a top bloke anyway). I work in the middle of a 2000acre pine forrest which makes access easy. World class fishing 15mins away. heaps of potential....... bring on the aussies and anyone else thats keen.

Re: Average age of Berg owners?

If husaberg sold anything smaller we would have younger kids on our machines but they don't.

also we don't do MX so again the kids pass us by.

that's ok!

so when
And I thought you were in Otago. Looks like the coast south of Kaikoura to me. Cant remember the name of the place, as it was a while back, and looked drier when I was there. In christchurch tonight.

Re: Average age of Berg owners?

I'm 41 and love unusual bikes, different ones give different pleasures. I got my first 'berg only months ago and cannot believe what I can get away with on it, how can some thing similar(ish) to other machines deliver a completely different experience? It is good to arrive at events and to see only one or two other 'bergs in a sea of orange.

My 501 will soon start easily, won't it Taffy?!
