Lowering the foot pegs

Ok im going to be competing in enduros this year so i want my bike to be as comfortable as possible .
Was looking at the fastway pegs as with these you can lower them and angle them in to assist in holding onto the bike with your knees .
But im not really worried about that more interested in lowering them will this reqire cutting them off the frame and welding them down lower..?
any ideas guys

cheers doug

I posted a little while back on the fastway pegs.
Anyways no modification necessary with the fastway F3, they have a pin that you flip over that drops them down (lowboy position). This was on a 02 mind you I am not sure if they make a model that fits your 99. Excellent product!

Oh yeah they offer excellent traction and a nice stable platform for your feet.

I used some Ballards rebuilders on my 98 FE501 as per my gallery. $30 and a little time. well worth the effort.
