RE: seroiusly f*ucked off

Have you checked the carburetor? Spark plug? Check if it gives a proper spark. Plug off, finger to plug hole, few turns with e-start. No petrol in finger - you have a carburetor problem. Check spark visually.

As Dale Lineaweaver once said:, if it has spark, fuel and air it has to run. I think what you once thought was a carb problem was probably your stator on the way out. Get an exchange from Taffy or send it to Sparks for a rewind thats better than new. Five years on the original stator is well past its service life based on what others here have reported.

If you would have come here PRIOR to purchasing an 03 model most would have tried to steer you to a 04 model and up but the issues you are having are fairly minor and usual for the year.

Runs 2 minutes... just long enough for the stator to warm up...

Sometimes people when they struggle with broken down motor start jump into the conclusions, and try find the problem deeep inside. In that while, good practice is:sit down, have fag(if smoke), have think ANS STARTS FROM BASICS!!!.I see that you are embarassed and dissappointed, but ANSWER YOUSELF FOR FEW SIMPLE QUESTIONS:1) What is quality of spark-compare to wide described examples from forum, 2) Are you sure that the carb is OK? Have you check it?
Sometimes the problem is right just at range of your hand.Simple fault.Deadly easy and obvious.Chill out 711scotty! We all done it!
