smooth acceleration kit for Husa450 / 2005

is there a way to reduce power or a jetting kit to improve smooth acceleration and reduce torque for low revs on carb husa FE450 2004 ?
Bike have too miuch torque from the start of the acceleration , need this only on high rpms .. i am only 73 kgs and i cannot handle the torque in the tactical areas .. i have to do it from the clutch and this is not safe for bike ..
if i adjust lean combustion from the carb screq this will overheat the exhaust valves and damage it faster

you could put a '01' cam in from the 2001-2003 Husaberf 400. that is a softer cam.

When doing an engine rebuild, I manage to perssuade many customers to go for a LOWER compression piston.

Most of all, the best way is to put my jetting kit in. you get power from a closed throttle. so you have more control. you want 100 revs? you get 100 revs. with YOUR bike, you ask for 100 revs and you get 500.

this may seem like reverse logic and I understand if this is 'over your head'.

regards

I know exactly what you mean. The 05 power delivery is completely different than the 01-03 models. As Taffy stated the cam has a lot to do with it. On my 01 470 when you just crack the throttle it starts to dig a hole in the ground. Many people refer to this bike as a torque monster. I think that Husaberg thought that these bikes had way too much torque and went completely in the opposite direction with the 04-08's. These bikes are kind of buzzy and act like they have little flywheel effect. We ride in the open desert so its of little consequence either way but in very technical situations both power characteristics could be a handful. Without doing major engines changes at this time I would focus on the carburetor and try to smooth out the transition or hit from 1/8th throttle to anything above that. I would start with Taffy's jet kit and then begin reducing the squirt from the accelerator pump. That big squirt of fuel as soon as you crack the throttle is not what you want when riding off camber on the side of a cliff. Flat track racers (credit Dale Lineaweaver for this info) completely remove the accelerator pump on the FCR carb as they need the most linear power delivery possible with no hit whatsoever. The accelerator pump plunger can be removed by just pulling it out (I have never done this personally so there may be more to it than that). Study up on how to adjust the Accelerator pump. You may find that yours is completely out of whack sending a massive squirt of fuel into the engine exactly when you don't want it to. You could also pick up a second hand Dellorto carb on ebay as used on 89-2003 models. They had no accelerator pump and Taffy has kits for these carbs as well.
Thanks from Taffy

You could try a Throttle Tamer. It worked very well on my Husky TXC310.

Also try disconnecting the Throttle Position Sensor from the carb. This will reduce the spark advance at light loads. Unplugging the TPS and reducing the AP squirt might just turn your sketchy beast into mellow yellow.

Thanks for all tips, ill try first the TPS dissconect, then carb acc pump.
I believe this too much power deliver from start will damage sooner the rocker arm rollers . this is a common issue for this 04-08 engines .
I advice you all to check the radial play or the rollers and change it for prevention .
This happened to me a week ago after i posted this topic.
A roller from the intake rocker arm stuck and crapped my camshaft.

I'm not sure if you are buying anything from Taffmeisters but if you are, I would like that old camshaft if you'd send it to me? Post would be paid but you must write on the package 'value nil. sent for repair' or similar but perhaps I can give you something for it.

I ran an adjustable G2 throttle cam on my '05 650. Helped a lot in the tight stuff. It was the same one for that year KTM RFS.
