'11 FE 570 EU - standard TPS setting?

Hi, last year I bought a 2011 570 FE. It's a european model. I'm living in Germany and recently tried to renew the license for driving on public roads. However I failed the CO test: the Berg is homologated with a CO of 0,3 but my Berg put out 1,8 CO without catalysator and air intake reduction, and 1,1 CO WITH calaysator and air intake reduction installed. I'm a bit puzzeled why CO is still so high and am trying to figure out what goes wrong.

I checked my TPS: it's 0,58 Volt. I can't find any official specs on what it should be set at. Apparently US bikes and EU bikes operate in different modes: while the EU version uses the lambda sensor the US version doesn't. There's plenty of forum entries here and on Advrider that suggest that the standard setting is 0,601 Volt, but they are all from the US or AU. I found one swedish guy saying his TPS reads 0,585 Volt. Can anybody confirm that the correct/standard TPS setting for EU bikes is indeed around 0,58? Or what could it possibly be?

Cheers,
Thomas

Hi Tom,
hello from Germany as well (I'll be responding in english since it's an international forum)

Neither your TPS nor the Lambda sensor is faulty. When you have the open map on the bike, the Lambda sensor gets disabled. The TPS value is supposed to be within 0,596 V - 0,640 V. So you're not within the range.

Subject HU&AU:
Totally normal to reach these values. BUT, you need a Catalytic converter, the original pipe and the "Lochsieb". Given you have the "full hp" in the papers (either 37 kW or 40 kW).
If you do, you need an addition to the paperworks to hand out to the person at the TÜV/KÜS etc.
For any further questions feel free to contact me

greetings Chris
