I have the exact same problem with my bike.
I was racing at hellas rally and the last day it was a beach section. At full rev in fourth gear it was OK. But when I shifted to fifth it died on me. Changed to fourth and pin it. Ok again. Kept doing that for the whole section.

Then later on it was a long uphill with deep ruts. It died on me again in mid hill.

Then this weekend there was the same problem but not following the same pattern exempt when accelerating. But I'm always accelerating ☺

But one time in the dark forest I noticed that my RNS tripmeter background lightning turned off. So it must be main power that cuts out for a second or two.

I will check the battery and diode.

I have a wiring diagram, also i am wondering about this terminal, to find/access it did you have the tank off? my issue seems verry similar but i cant seem to find this termianl.
