Re: 70 degree aux. Fuel tank deliveries

Sounds like the new tanks will be better than the old ones. Suspect that is what this Dale chap is working towards without saying anything bad about anyone or anything.

Hope so anyway - too hot to ride now for 5 months..... sure the tanks will be ready by April 2013.

Who needs an aux tank??

Planning on some longer rides over summer on the open dirt roads, worried about range....... rang a mate with a 390. He just got 100kms on 3.5 litres.......
that's over 240 kms on a 8.5 litre tank........

That's 350kms with Dale's subframe fuel tank (12.5 l total) when it comes out.

Wonder when it'll be ready?

For those still living in the dark ages:
100kms = 60 miles
3.5 litres = .92 gallons
8.5 litres = 2.25 gallons
350kms = 217.5 miles
12.5 litres = 3.30 gallons.

PS. Hi Bruce.

That's almost unbelievable economy, 240 kms out of the stock tank I've never seen anything even approaching that mileage.

No we are not.

I answered your email today Odie, from the 70 degree site.

I don't have a tank for you, if I did I would have let you know.

We are still going forward with this project, but, have not been able to send out anything yet.

Will let you know when they are available.

Dale

12-02-12

I picked up the first small batch of tanks from the molder last Friday.

We made a design change on the tank for quality control. This change will require us to include two small spacers for the rear fender mounting screws on the back end of the tank. Once we have the spacers made we will be able to start shipping tanks!
