Please keep FI bike fuel pump issues in existing threads
There are some great threads going here about trouble shooting, identifying, and repairing of the fuel pump's on the post 09 bikes.
I have made those threads sticky's to keep them at the top of the "fuel" forum page.
When possible, please make contributions to the existing threads of experiences and fixes to one of the existing threads so that folks who are coming here for the first time, or are just having problems for the first time can diagnose and find a solution to their fuel pump problem quickly.
It is obvious that KTM/Husaberg got a bad batch of fuel pumps and that is being sorted out, and the best thing that we as the UHE can do is to help those in woe find a quick solution to their problem, that is one of the corner stones of this site. I can think back over the last 10 years and how many problems have been solved by the hard work and ingenuity of UHE members past and present, that ultimately allowed all of us to enjoy our bikes.
With that being said, I wish to thank you all who have experienced this issue and have found a solution to your problem, and have kept posting so that all may benefit from your hard work.
After reviewing most all of the posts, it appears that willmia and JodyH had some great success with NON OEM fuel pumps, and their installation.
JodyH, great post on the fuel pumps concerning the origin of the pumps and the color of the tail end piece for help in identifying which pump you have.
When I get some time I may try and combine some of these threads so that all this info is in one place. It does appear that KTM/Husaberg has got a solution in the works. The main problem that I see is that the part number has not changed so that identification of the "new" pump is not discernable from the rest.
