Outlet size

Has anyone determined an ideal outlet size in their end cap with straight through mufflers?

Too open and we don't run an ideal back pressure.

I understand there are differences in engine size and work done but if there were a range responses a generalisation could be made for my application.

Thanks Guys.

jeez! you'd think we were running GP bikes!

35mm unleashes another 1bhp on a husaberg so I guess 35mm plus....

Hi Alan, I'm running open pipes, 2-1-2 and the next job on the list is to make reverse cone inserts for the outlets. There are so many variables that to get the best performance a lot of Dyno time would be needed. Getting the right back pressure and cone angle will force the gas to accelerate out.
