Re: Ceramic coated header & mid pipe - FS570

Hi All,

To all you Hussy experts. I need to remove the mid-pipe on my 11 FE 570S does it remove from the rear or front of the bike. Does the shield have to be removed before removal of mid pipe? Does the tank or sub frame need to be removed?

Thanks

i took off tank, subframe, shock and right rear motor mount. did not have to remove the heat shield to get it out and i think it came out the back.

Concur with subframe, tank, top right side motor mount, and shock. I had to remove the heat shield, though, and it came out from under the frame member to the front. It's kind of tricky.

Re: Ceramic coated header & mid pipe - FS570

Hi,

I'm just about to do this to my FE390 as my bike is already in piece's and I figured why not! Have removed the front header, but this mid pipe has got me!

So fair I have removed the tank and shock. Does the subframe need to be completely removed?

I also found that bolt that goes threw the mount into the motor, very tight and was very hard to get back in just kept spinning, had to give it a couple taps with a rubber mallet.

Thanks!

EDIT: Got the mid pipe out, didn't need to remove the subframe, just loosen'd it as you do when you remove the fuel tank. Had to remove the motor mount.
