I do not know the switch, but I needed to replace a microswitch a while back in my computer mouse. If you find it, search the part number on ebay. I got a bag of 10 microswitches for about $10 (shipped from China). Having extras on hand could be useful to send out to anyone in the community who needs one.

All this based on the assumption that it is a simple, common switch.

I've found it cheaper and effective to use hydraulic switches. Doesn't seem to effect lever travel, and works for front and rear.

Got some of these on a few bikes now:

as steve says, I get customers of the 2000-2008s to put a REAR brake switch on the front. 11 quid here against 30-40 or whatever for the front switch....

I do not recommend these hydraulic switches on the front brake.
They are very defective and very easy to demage after bike fail!
I had two.
One began to leak.
The second is broke after bike fail.
This is a very dangerous situation when your fornt brake does not work.

After that I do something like this. It does not look beautiful, but it works and is safe!
Thanks from tourist and Bigninjazx12r
