2000 FE600E Battery removal/installation

Hello,
Anyone know how to remove the battery from a 2000 FE600E so I can install a new one??
I can not figure out how you are supposed to remove the battery? There doesn't seem to be room to get it out? Will I have to remove the shock or somthing? I can't beleave they would make it so difficult, but maybe since it's not really somthing you would be messing with very often.
Anyone have any experience with this? Or know where I can find a manual for this bike??
Any help would be great! Thanks.

This is off a 2005. Take top bolt off of shock tie it back should able to remove it. By removing some bolts off the battery box and pulling box and battery together.

Not the same bike, but on my 08 550 it actually can come out the right side, with a lot of fiddling.

That said, I've since tried out the back, with only the shock unbolted (tire still on) and it was much easier.

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, looks like I'm gonna have to take the top bolt off the shock to get the battery out. Even still theirs a crossmember between the frame that looks like it will be in the way? Only real way to tell is to try it. I'll report back with my findings.
Is there a trick to getting that bolt out? How would I keep the shock compressed enough to get the bolt out and be able to get it back together? Any ideas?
Thanks!

The compression is happening between the swingarm attachment point and the shock collar - not the bolt itself.

I put it my hydraulic bike lift. Took it up high enough to unweight the rear wheel off the ground. You want as close to zero vertical load on that bolt as possible - and then just unbolt it and out it comes.

If you have to reef on it or bang on it, you're doing it wrong - the secret is letting physics do the work for you. I'm a little dude, am not strong, and not particularly mechanically experienced. If I can do it, it's truly easy... lol
