Adding headlight to US version 2009 FE570

Hey guys,

Just bought my first Husaberg on the weekend, and I'm eager to start the mods!

Picked up this 2009 for $3800 CAD and I think I did okay.
- Rad braces
- cam chain tensioner
- billet parts
- etc.

First up - the 'headlight' you see on the pic is not connected. The previous owner only fabbed it up so he wouldn't get hassled by the Fish Cops.

So my question - given that this is a US model bike (as per VIN and no headlight/signal switches), what is the easiest/best way to get a functional headlight? The wiring harness on the front is missing a bunch of parts, so is the factory kit as simple as 'plug and play'? I was hoping to make fully street legal, but would settle for a good headlight control!

I have a spare Trail Tech X2 that I'm going to be using, so also trying to understand the stock harness and how to connect the new light.

Thanks in advance!

No one?

Anyone know the part number for the stock headlight switch?

Also - anyone try an LED light bar in place of a traditional light/mask combo?

:O hi sry for no replies

random thoughts:

afaik they all came with headlights except the FX450, so it should be possible

Got a manual and wiring diagram? see below

look into e.g. the Tusk lighting kit?

- look at the spare parts manuals/books for the part number, or in an online "fiche" search like at the Trevor Pope site

the stock switch is kind of meh, lightweight tho

The original owner of my 2009 FE570 used the Sicass Racing lighting kit. Included everything to make it plug and play. My bike basically has the headlight assembly from the KTM exc 200x-2007. They discontinued this headlight mask, but you can now buy the '08 + headlight mask, and may need to also purchase the front fender that plays well with the headlight unit.

Well decided to just get the trail tech switch and harness to save time. Took a while to remove the tank and get the wiring in place but took my time and made it nice and tidy.
