Husaberg FE650-cooling water boiling while in netural/standings still

Hello guys!

I'm new to this bike and i am just wondering if it is normal that they overheat/boil when they stand still for a while, while running. About 10-15 minutes of standing still and it starts to boil (came boiling water out the hose at the top of the radiator). haven't had a problem with boiling while driving yet (usually on the roads so pretty high speed). I don't have a fan for the radiator and i have been thinking this might be the problem. As i mentioned i am new to this bike and this engine size (came from 125cc) so i am glad for all tips and tricks

Rune, Rune mate, please......use the bike the way it was designed!

you don't enter a camel in a horse race or giraffe into limbo dancing so you don't study a Husaberg stood still for 15 minutes in your workshop.

....and remember that the coolant has to only just cover the core and NOT be up near the cap.

Taffy

Also check your cap seals, if they are degraded and the system can't hold pressure it will boil very quickly. I'd get a tusk with the temp gauge built in if you find it needs replacement, that way you can monitor temps at a glance

Heidenberg, do you know about any temp gauges that fits? that would be very nice because the other bikes i've owned had atleast an high temperature alarm on the speedometer.

One of these Tusks should fit, I've got one and switch it onto whichever bike I am riding

Don't let idle for more than 45 seconds. You can run Evans Coolant but you need to be aware of the engine temp. The motor will seize before it boils.
