Pipe is interesting - who makes it? Clearance enough so it doesn't get smashed on skid plate dragging bottom outs?

Re: Husaberg ready for the 2013 Dakar

looks lovely! how many fuel cells has it? looks like a big tank with the tank in the rad panels, then there's one in the tail which I trust is a subframe fuel tank?

that looks like drinking water perhaps under the front?
how many litres do you have in total for the Rallye?

have you had the shocks done?
same TCs from new?
have you got a front to back weight ratio?

sorry for all the questions. oh and have you done a load of testing?

regards

Best of luck to you JW! I have seen a few 70deg. rally builds but i must say yours looks like it is ready for production! Very clean build my friend. Taffy please find time to post a pic of your bike so we can see what loads of testing has done for you. Taffys bike has more than 1 shock i guess, seeing how he has requested that little bit of info in his above post.

Re: Husaberg ready for the 2013 Dakar

my bike is now back to enduro spec. the clocks and stuff only added about 3KG at the most.

I have bought a spare shock from this site and it gets here today from the USA. it has had a FC sealed rebound seal area done as well as the shock resevior bladder and a re-valve. I shall be testing it against all my own work.

regards

Mooie fiets JW!

Frank

I have 4 cells i can use as substitutes, it holds 28 liters but i think i will leave out the front tank most ofthe sandy stages. Original tank plus both safaritanks and the 70 degree tank as an extra.

that looks like drinking water perhaps under the front?

Twoo liter for water left, some room for tools richt. Total with 35 cm to protect engine and brake/shift paddle

how many litres do you have in total for the Rallye?

I need 220-250 km, so 20liters is enough.

have you had the shocks done?

Absolutely, both front and rear

same TCs from new?

What is tc?

have you got a front to back weight ratio?

Planto check tomorrow. Estimated 60 kg back and 65 kg front (empty)

sorry for all the questions. oh and have you done a load of testing?

Np, yes i did alot of testing. Just not with the safari reartank, that is new. Will help with balance f/r

Re: Husaberg ready for the 2013 Dakar

Hi JW with that setup you will need to be careful with your fuel range at Dakar, without a vacum pump to suck the last few litres out you will only have between 26-27 usable litres, on the long sandy big dune stages you will need to watch the fuel so you dont run out,

hope you have a good run see you in Lima cheers
